INTERNATIONAL MINERALOGICAL ASSOCIATION

To help build the type specimen catalogue, the archive of the IMA-CNMNC/CNMMN has been made available on request. In time, all type data will be extracted and added to the online catalogue.

The archives are housed in the Geosciences section of Museums Victoria, Melbourne, Australia. They consist of hard copies of official memoranda, new mineral proposals and nomenclature changes dating from the establishment of the CNMMN in 1959.
